Fenna Meijer is a talented central defender for SC Heerenveen. Fenna began her football career at ONS SNEEK before making the switch to the talent team of SC Heerenveen in the 2018-2019 season. In 2021, she was transferred to the main team of the Frisians and quickly made her debut in professional football. So far, Fenna has played dozens of matches for SC Heerenveen. Additionally, Fenna has represented multiple youth teams of the Netherlands as an international. She has been part of Under-15, Under-16, Under-17, Under-18, Under-19, and Under-20. With the latter, she participated in the 2022 World Cup in Costa Rica. Here, she and the Netherlands reached the semifinals, where Spain ultimately proved too strong with a score of 2-1. This season, Fenna has been named captain of SC Heerenveen.
